The Roband C25RD is a curved glass hot food bar that keeps cooked food hot and on show at the counter. It holds 10 half-size gastronorm pans in a double row and measures 1680 mm wide, 615 mm deep and 750 mm high, so it suits takeaways, cafes, canteens and service stations that sell hot food all day.
Stainless steel elements heat a double-skin water tank from below while overhead heat lamps keep the top of the food warm and lit, and it can run wet or dry. Rear roller doors close off the back of the cabinet, which helps hold heat and is the better pick for dry and fried food such as chips, wedges and schnitzels. It is made in Australia by Roband.

Should I run it wet or dry?
Both work. Running with water in the tank gives a moister heat that suits saucy dishes, curries and steamed items, while dry operation suits crisp food. Always follow the Roband manual for water levels.
Are pans included?
Yes. It comes with a set of half-size pans 65 mm deep. It will also take pans up to 100 mm deep, and you can mix in smaller gastronorm sizes with the right adaptor bars.
What power does it need?
It draws 3450 W (15 A). Units drawing over 10 A need a higher-rated outlet, so have your electrician check the supply before it arrives.
How do I clean it?
Switch off and let it cool, drain the tank using the ball valve, then wipe the tank and stainless surfaces with a mild detergent. Clean the glass with a non-abrasive glass cleaner. The cross bars lift out so you can get into the corners.
Do I need the roller door version?
Roller doors are recommended for dry and fried food because they hold heat in. Note that a sneeze guard cannot be fitted to the control-panel side when roller doors are fitted.
