Frequently Asked Questions

How should I wash these?

Wash in hot water with a commercial laundry detergent and dry thoroughly. Wash new towels before first use to improve absorbency.

Can I use bleach?

Avoid bleach on coloured towels, as it can fade the colour. Use a hot wash and an oxygen-based laundry product instead.

How many do I need?

Most venues allow several per staff member per shift, so a fresh towel is always available. Keep a stock on hand to cover laundry turnaround.

Can I use colours for different jobs?

Yes. Many kitchens allocate colours to tasks, for example one colour for glassware and another for general wiping, to help prevent cross-contamination.

Should I replace them regularly?

Yes. Retire towels that are stained, thin or frayed, as they hold bacteria and do not dry as well.
