This 300 mm strainer has a double layer of tin plated mesh with a long handle and a reinforced frame for heavier use. The double mesh gives a finer, stronger strain, ideal for straining stocks, sauces and blanched vegetables, sifting flour and rinsing grains.
The handle and rim hook let it rest across a pot or bowl so you can pour with both hands. Tin plated mesh should be washed and dried straight away to keep it in good condition.

Single or double mesh?
Double mesh gives a finer strain and is stronger. Single mesh drains faster and is easier to clean.
How do I clean a tin plated strainer?
Rinse straight after use, wash in warm, soapy water and dry it fully. Tin plating can rust if left wet.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Hand washing and drying straight away is best to protect the tin plating.
Can I use it to sift flour?
Yes. It works well for sifting flour, icing sugar and cocoa.
Do you have other sizes?
Yes. We stock single and double mesh strainers in several diameters.
